2009 Featured Speakers
This year, we’re excited to have some of the best homeschool speakers in the country. Their expertise and experiences cover a wide range of topics, from beginning homeschooling and curriculum choices to information on how to teach specific subjects to encouragement for understanding why we homeschool and how to not only educate our children, but to impact their hearts and lives as well.
The new College Fair Area of the SE Homeschool Expo has been created to aid parents and homeschooled students in fulfilling their educational aspirations. Students can interact with a wide range of homeschool friendly colleges and universities to discuss course offerings, admission, financial aid requirements and other information important to the collection selection process. In workshops students and parents learn admission tips, how to boost ACT and SAT scores, college life, and more.
Thinking About or Just Beginning Homeschooling?
Then you should attend the Homeschooling for Excellence 101 Conference held on July 30, 2009!
This one-day conference is held on Thursday, July 30, 2009, just before the Expo opens on July 31 thru August 1, 2009. At this conference, new homeschool parents or those thinking about homeschooling will learn how to homeschool, about homeschool laws, schedules, destressing and transitioning children from public school to homeschool, where all the good books are, and more!
And during this conference, children (4-12 years) can attend
KidsZone while parents learn all about homeschooling.
While parents attend Homeschooling for Excellence 101, their children can attend
KidsZone, a variety of workshops given by speakers who will challenge them to become active and excited learners. Our goal is to remind children that learning is rewarding and interesting and that learning can happen anywhere, at any time.
Parents not attending Homeschooling for Excellence 101 can also bring their younger children to this fun, exciting time for young learners!
